OPTION CLAUSE: The Purchaser reserves the right to increase or decrease the quantity to be ordered up to 25 percent of bid quantity at the time of placement of contract. The purchaser also reserves the right to increase the ordered quantity up to 25% of the contracted quantity during the currency of the contract at the contracted rates. The delivery period of quantity shall commence from the last date of original delivery order and in cases where option clause is exercised during the extended delivery period the additional time shall commence from the last date of extended delivery period. The additional delivery time shall be (Increased quantity ÷ Original quantity) × Original delivery period (in days), subject to minimum of 30 days. If the original delivery period is less than 30 days, the additional time equals the original delivery period. The Purchaser may extend this calculated delivery duration up to the original delivery period while exercising the option clause. Bidders must comply with these terms.

n the original Delivery period specified in the Contract, the Buyer will be entitled to deduct/rec over Liquidated Damages for the delay, @ 0.5% per week or part of the week of delayed period , as pre-estimated damages not exceeding 10% of the contract value. Contract Lead time for a pplication of LD will be as per the Lead Time mentioned in Buyer Purchase Order and Buyer Pr emises Gate Entry date will be considered as the “Date of Supply”.

OR Proper arrangements with necessary authorization need to be made by suppliers for the re turn of rejected items from Buyer stores. b) In case of Rejections and Return, the supplier has to bear cost of transportation, including the return of rejected goods and supply of new/replacement goods on “FOR, Buyers Premis e” basis. c) If such cost is incurred by Buyer, supplier has to transfer such specified amount as per Bu yer intimation to Buyer’s designated bank account within specified time limits, or else, suc h amount will be recovered from pending bills (including that of any division of Buyer). d) Failure to comply will result in appropriate action by buyer without further notice, particul arly if a suitable replacement is not provided on an “FOR, Buyers Premise” basis.
