OPTION CLAUSE 25% : The buyer can increase or decrease the contract quantity or contract duration up to 25 percent at the time of issue of the contract. The vehicle must be commercially registered as per Motor Vehicle Ac t and have valid insurance certificate & Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate . The liability and risk of composite insurance covering vehicle theft, damage, injury of passengers and public due to accident etc. are responsibility of the Contractor only.

Vehicle should not be older than 3 calendar years , e.g. if bid opening date in years 2026, then vehicle registration year allowed should be 2026, 2025 , 2024, 2023. At any point of time, vehicles should not be older than 5 year s and the vehicle should be BS-VI or latest .

A name plate of suitable size is required to be made and fitted on th e front of the vehicle . The name plate should read " On Duty, Ministry of R ailway, Govt. of India ".

Vehicle colour should be white / white base colours. The vehicle sho uld be mechanically sound and shall be well maintained with neat and clean interior/exteriors and hygienic. Three pairs of seat-covers and to wels to be changed on alternate days.

Driver should be provided with white shirt and white pant. The cost of uniforms is to be borne by the contractor.

The driver must have the valid driving license, must possess good dr iving skill, obedient and courteous . Driver should not be suffering from hyp erhidrosis or any other medical conditions resulting in foul body odour. Medical Certificate to this effect should be provided. The driver must be literate, having good knowledge of roads, navigation skills and familiarities with traffic rules and regulations and should be able to communicate properly. He should also be able to do the day-to-day maintenance of the vehicle's cleanliness and functionality. Driver must have adequate control and patience and remain calm and compose d even in stressful traffic situations and should never be a part of road rage or r eckless driving.
